A província do Namibe acolhe de 6 a 8 de Outubro o torneio internacional da Fundação Eduardo dos Santos (FESA), com a participação das selecções de Angola, Zâmbia, Zimbabwe e Etiópia.
Segundo o coordenador da FESA para área desportiva, João Gama, que se encontra no Namibe desde hoje em visita de trabalho, o governo local está a trabalhar para melhorar as condições para a realização do evento.
“Estamos a trabalhar juntamente com o governo local, pois a província do Namibe vai acolher esta actividade desportiva e é preciso criar condições necessárias. Será benéfico para a camada juvenil, sobretudo na massificação da modalidade, para dar outra imagem e servir de antecâmara para ao Mundial2013 de hóquei em patins", reforçou.
Realçou ainda que o torneio é um facto: “Tivemos um encontro com o governo da província e abordamos aspectos ligados às preparativas do evento, estando neste momento criadas condições".
O vice-governador para área Económica, Alcides Gomes Cabral, disse ser uma mais valia “na medida em que vai alegrar a população que sempre gostou e apoiou o desporto" e espera que seja uma grande festa.

Acrescentou que o governo vai assumir a preparação de condições de alojamento, logística, transporte e outras.
O torneio será disputado no estádio municipal Joaquim Morais, com capacidade para 15 mil espectadores.
